Sky-
Greetings, I am currently taking Concerta 54mg but sometimes in the evenings I start to think that I am been watched by the law and been monitored along with been spyed on via what I say and do in real life and on my computer. As I think right now they are watching me. I would like to point out that, this is not what you would first to think. Its real paranoid I think and I am believing it. And everything someone says or I say its like my brain or I makes these crazy links to that and expand's that to make me think that because someone is saying that they are after me and that's not the real reason they are saying it . <-main problem. Any ideas here?. Thanks !

cfranco92
Surely you don't think that all anti-psychotics are bad? Just because you had a bad reaction to risperidone doesn't mean that all other APs will have that reaction. But I do think that you should talk to your pdoc about your paranoia. They will be a better judge as to whether or not you should augment your meds with an AP or if you should lower your dosage of concerta.
rowan77
Risperdal may be a bad drug in your opinion, but I know many people on CB who have benefited enormously from it. We all react to drugs differently and just because it has been bad for you does not mean it's a "bad drug". Also by posting what you have posted you could very well scare people off from taking a potentially very helpful medication. In my opinion it is not helpful to scaremonger
gizmo
Risperdal is chemically different from other antipsychotics, so just because you had a bad reaction to it doesn't mean that you won't positively benefit from another one. Seroquel makes me like a zombie 16 hours out of the day. But do I go around saying I will never try another one? Besides that, seroquel is a wonder drug for many, many people here without side effects. BTW, I have very successfully taken risperdal for more than two years. Sky-
BTW, I have very successfully taken risperdal for more than two years. But your also on ritalin and zoloft. lol, and ritalin 10mg. ritalin 10mg is like a joke its so awesome. 10mg fast release = magic and zoloft.... you must so happy. gizmo
I didn't know you had a medical degree like my prescribing pdoc did. Must be nice to diagnose everyone other than yourself. And to answer your question, no, I'm not happy right now, but 20 mg BID Ritalin makes me tired and zoned out and adderall gives me migraines. It's a work in progress on the stimulants. Your graphic doesn't impress me. 6 mg risperdal not only prevented my manias, but stopped my intrusive hallucinations. Not even my beloved zyprexa did that. I'm in a really bad mood right now, so I'm mainly irritated by your response. In short, leave me the fuck alone. I gave you honest and open information, and you mock me. gizmo
No, I've been on risperdal for two years, have situational issues for one week (if you read my blog you'd have more knowlesge). You are simply scaremongering right now. After all the questions you've asked here and the advice you've been given by the good people of CB, this is all you can offer back? You must think you are a model member. I'm done with you, this post, and all future posts by you. That will solve this problem. Case closed. confused
risperdal You do know this is a pro med site? Your saying risperdal is poison is tedious. I'm sorry it didn't help you. There are lots of different medications. But it does help some people
