koali777
Has anyone had their vision turn terrible, especially up close, when on Cogentin? I'm very near sighted, but I never have trouble reading even small print up close. On Cogentin, even big print is near impossible to read. It gives me a headache, and I have dilated eyes which is embarrassing. I've read that this is common, but does it go away? Any idea how long it'll take? Doesn't matter if I wear contacts, glasses, or none of the above...blurry. It makes me dumb and forgetful too but I mind the blurry vision more. Rose
Wow I was going to ask if it was better with glasses but obviously you're having some difficulty. I would definately speak to your pdoc I'm sorry I couldn't be much use.
cfranco92
I had problems with cogentin affecting my vision but it went away after about two or three weeks. I visited my optometrist and she checked out my eyes and said they were fine. She gave me a prescription for bifocals but told me since I was near sighted I could just take my glasses off as fatigue made the blurriness worse. Hopefully the blurriness wears off for you. San
Cogentin really messes up my close-up vision, and I'm near sighted (I wear glasses for distance sometimes) as it is. I had to switch between reading glasses and distance glasses while on it. I won't take it anymore because of that side effect. Pain in the ass! koali777
Nah the glasses suggestion would have been great It's just that, no lie, I can't see more than about 8 inches away from my face. So I can't hold the book too far away, or too close. Ahhh yes pain in the ass, it's why I don't take it often, but sometimes the restlessness just needs to be dealt with. Good to know it wears off...maybe I need to give it more of a chance. I'm very protective of my eyes since I have an eye disease, but I think it'll be okay...
