chimpmaster
Hey guys, Ive been out of action with the flu for over a week, but baby Im back! My p-doc has changed my clozapine dosage from 300mg at night to 100mg morning, 200mg night. It has made an enormous difference! I seem to be getting coverage for anxiety, panic, agitation and all of the positive symptoms of schizophrenia in the afternoons when I was having most of my problems. Ive also been 2 days without valium. Cool hey! Lets hope this is a sign of things to come.

konings
Clozapine can have a short half life i guess eh? My pdoc just changed my abilify to 7.5 + 7.5 and it made me way less agitated. Amazing things can be done without increasing/decreasing the dose. Hope you can cope with the withdrawals of valium if you have any. Good luck. I take 15 mg in the AM and 30 mg at night. If i take it all at once, it doesn't seem to help a few hours before the next dose.
chimpmaster
Update: not out of the woodwork yet. Saw p-doc today and we discussed my persistent panic attacks which seem to be brought on by psychotic breaks and intrusive thoughts. We are sticking with the prozac/clozapine combo but adding a small dose of Zeldox (Geodon) to the mix. If I tolerate the zeldox we may be increasing it in 4 weeks time and see how we go. Deep breath.....
chimpmaster
Well its now 4 weeks on, and we have increased my dose from 40mg-->80mg. I will keep posting. My panic and anxiety have been unbearable of late. Thank modern medicine for diazepam. Goal at this stage is to reduce the clozapine from 300mg--> 150mg, and increase the zeldox gradually until a therapeutic dose is reached. Finger crossed this all works.
