choral hydrate - where to purchase?

Hello all,

My pharmacist told me the company that makes chloral hydrate will stop producing it. I confirmed that on google. I haven't talked to my pdoc about it yet, but I was wondering if there were any offshore source I could purchase it from? I prefer it to benzos since it's less addicting (to me) and seems to have fewer side effects on memory.

I had no idea it was still even manufactured. I thought it went away about the same time that Qualudes disappeared. You know, I'd not buy any kind of medication online. You never know what you're getting. Talk to your pdoc and see if you can come up with a better solution.

When you start dealing with meds that can be abused for their mind-altering potential, the biggest risk (besides breaking the US law) of buying meds online and overseas is the large risk of counterfeit medication. Unless you buy it from a superpower, or cross the border into Canada, there is often no prescription needed and the temptation to sell you fake or poorly manufactured meds (cut down with fillers) is incredibly tempting. Just like if you went to a drug dealer you met on the street and wanted to buy some weed - you never know if you are going to get something that will make you sicker rather than better.

I'd personally stay with the safe route of working with your dr on meds you can take. I personally have a script for librium, which is really mellow and hardly anyone prescribes anymore. But it works for me when I really need it, and it doesn't pack that big side effect punch that the other benzos I've used do.
