blutausnord777
Hey guys, Im new here! This board has a ton of information and Im happy to post here. Anyway, here is my current drug regimen: 0.5 Clonazepam 3x a day, 0.5 risperidone a day, and 100mg of Zoloft daily. I know, a tall order huh? Well, believe it or not, my anxiety/OCD is so bad that this is the only combination of drugs that has truly helped me. I mean, I feel like a new man. My only concern is about the clonazepam. I know it can be addicting, but it helps me so much. And right now my anixety is still so bad that I dont think Id function well without it. I guess my reason for making this thread is Im curious what would happen if my Dr. ever decided to change my prescriptions. I know theres no reason for him to do that now, but despite the clonazepam being addictive, this is honestly the best combination of drugs Ive taken (and this is coming from battling with it my entire life). Any thoughts?
llama44
I take 0.5 mg klonopin four times a day and have been for years. I would try not to worry about it. And you really aren't on that many or that much of meds. So I would try not to worry about that either.
notfred
I don't see a problem here.
netsavy006
I don't really see an issue here either. As long as you take your clonazapam properly (not misusing it) and are honest with your doctor, you should be ok. I take Xanax myself and have been doing so for over a year now at a 2mg/d dose. My doc continues to let me take it because he knows I'm not mis-using the medication and let him know how the medication is effecting me. There were times where I told him I didn't want to increase it so he sees that I'm not a risk for adjusting my dose without his approval. I know I started babbling, but I hope it helps, ~ Andy
gizmo
Actually, your doses are way lower than mine were/are. So I don't think you have "a tall order." as others have said, as long as you take your medications exactly as prescribed, you have nothing to worry about. chimpmaster
FYI that is not a large dose. Take as prescribed and have an open dialogue with your dr.

Revan
There is nothing abnormal about your klonopin dose. 1.5 mg per day is still on the low side. I take 4mg total in one day (2mg twice daily). I have no side effects whatsoever. My pdoc has some people on 8mg per day of klonopin. That is the maximum amount he will prescribe. The highest I have ever been on was 2mg three times daily (6mg). I had no problem with that either.
