Lee Heron
Ive just had dialysis for 5 days getting my fluid level down to my bodys natural dry weight of 12 stone 80 kilos. With that my bp went down from 200/145 approx to 120/80 approx. With that my mental health has gone back to normal. Its early days but i think the ckd plus hypertension have been the cause of my problems since 88 when they plus my mental health problem showed their face. AirMarshall
No. Just no. High blood pressure does not cause any mental illness. Dialysis will not cure mental illness, though it may help other conditions. One related point: Kidney failure causes waste products to build up in the blood, as you know. These waste can cause mental confusion and physical ailments if allowed to build up. Dialysis could certainly provide a welcome improvement. cheers, a.m.
