Which benzo is right for me in your opinion?

First of all, I live in South Africa, where doctors are stupid, don't know what they prescribe and will prescribe ANYTHING. AND it's free.

My problem is I've been on and off alprazolam a lot since it doesn't seem to work anymore and am still on clonazepam (in my opinion just to keep the withdrawals in check, it doesn't help much for anxiety. Never has. Well maybe a little. Tiny bit.) I suffer from severe generalised anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder so these meds are my lifeline. I'm just looking for something to replace the alprazolam with, I was thinking maybe lorazepam? You'd know better. I want that "whoosh of relief" you get from alprazolam or just at least FEEL the anxiety GO AWAY (there's NO GREATER PLEASURE) or some pleasure OVERWHELM the anxiety. My point is to target the anxiety! Please give me some names, even barbiturrates if there are that'll help. Easy to get here. I'll research and discuss some. Once again, don't tell me to ask a doc, they're not so up to date with drug names and such to say the least. And can't see a psych for 150 KM.

You might underestimate, the doctors over here are really less intelligent than you lot. That's why I'm asking this question to the community and see their opinions.
