Damik
I'm switching hospitals that I'll be getting my ECT done at. The new hospital won't let me take klonopin, at all. I was wondering if there was another med that is used to treat anxiety but isn't an anti seizure medication. Is there something I can replace it with? malachite
Buspar (there's a bunch of recent threads on that), perhaps a beta blocker if you have a lot of physical symptoms of anxiety. That's rough that you have to completely give up the klon.
llama44
Vistaril or is it Vistaral? Is an anti-anxiety med.
netsavy006
3 meds I found listed that can be used for anxiety are: Buspirone (Buspar) , Hydroxyzine (Vistaril) , and Gabapentin (Neurontin) Source: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/anxiety-help/201111/anti-anxiety-medications-explained I've also heard of using propanolol (Inderal) for anxiety too.
