daisy426
I literally cried when I found this site. I had been googling different 'depression support' groups for awhile without much luck. They all seemed way too freakin Polly Anna for me. Then I remembered CrazyMeds (which I have bookmarked) and Shazam! I found a home I enjoy this 'in your face' no sugar-coating atmosphere. I have Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ADHD (impulsivity component) Currently on Celexa 40mg- Straterra 40mg- Vistaril 25mg I tend to be "too much" at times. I am smart enough to know that when my depression takes over, I need to release somewhere. I don't want to go back to therapy so I thought this may help. Eden
This place makes a decent stopgap between therapists or in the meantime while you try and find your first. It got me by for quite a few years until I found the means to pay, and a place to live with therapists that could offer more insight than a fortune cookie. I for one can say that I lived off of the chat function of this site, I met friends, people I could go to and ask for help. I haven't frequented it lately as I am in therapy with one of the most insightful and caring people I have ever met but I'm sure there are still good people hanging around. I suffer from a very similar diagnosis, though I do have a few extra flavors of crazy that you seem to have been lucky enough to miss. If you need something, a friend or a sounding board, I've always been good at giving advice, bad at taking it of course but that's neither here nor there, let me know if you'd like to chat, I should be able to respond to a PM within a couple hours or less. Enjoy the site, there are a lot of good people here.

daisy426
Thanks for the love, I truly appreciate it. I actually felt a sense of relief when I found this site. I think this will be a good step for me and definitely give me 'someone' (faceless) to talk to as I was considering group therapy next. Eden- I chuckled at the fortune cookie bit lol good one! Today was my pdoc appt. It went good as far as we decided to leave all dosages the same for now. Yeah! This is very good news. Side effect (Celexa) of freakin nasty headache up the back of my head daily seems to have finally stopped. This went on for first 3 +/- months of taking this rx. Pdoc was concerned at last appt about this, but I said everythings gonna have some side effect AND it does work awesome. Anyone else here get headache from Celexa? dedoubt
Welcome to CB! Anyone else here get headache from Celexa? When I was on it, I had horrible headaches, tooth grinding, jaw clenching, eyes sensitive to light. It also sent me into a psychotic mixed episode, so I stopped it. But yah, I am glad your headaches finally went away! Yay!
