Ems1981 Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Hola! I'm a 31 yr old Navy wife (could that be why I'm crazy??), Navy Veteran and a Mama to two boys. I stay at home with them now but I start college for pre-law at the end of this month. I've struggled with depression for as long as I can remember. I've taken every SSRI in the book and I refuse to mess with them anymore. Tried Welbutrin and that sent me into my first ever psych hospitalization. Yup, spent eight days in that lovely place. They seem to have my meds stabilized for now but I'm still on that quest for that magic cure that's just going to fix everything that's nutty in my brain...good luck, right?? Anyhoo, I'm excited to have joined this forum and meet some new people....it's my first ever of this type. I just need a place to vent, ask questions and meet people that understand where I'm coming from. On the outside, I seem happy as can be but I'm constantly fighting the craziness I feel in my brain. Please be sure to read the rules as soon as you can. It avoids misunderstandings later on. Also, this place is indexed by Google so you may want to limit the identifying information in your posts. If someone Googles her name (like an old high school friend or her future mother-in-law), the search engine will lead the searcher right here. And there is her post about how she feels so terrible about cheating on her boyfriend and should she tell him or keep it quiet....etc. I don't much care if friends or acquaintances find me here because I talk about CB all the time and most of my friends are aware of it. However, for most of our members, there is still a lot of stigma attached to identifying yourself with a bunch of crazy people. Plus, it's part of the User Agreement: "Do not disclose any personal information about any person other than yourself. The public disclosure of specific identifying facts about even yourself is strongly discouraged. This includes surnames, home addresses, place of employment, email addresses and the like. We reserve the right to edit your posts to protect your privacy and/or the privacy of others." It's just common sense stuff. I assumed that's is what you meant but you know what they say when you assume something....lol...I do have this acct link with my fb, so my profile pic is what shows up...but I have it set so nothing I post here will post on fb and vice versa....maybe that wasn't such a good idea??? I'm the only person in this country with that name, so if you know my name, you can find me. But it's up to you to do whatever you want. I was a little concerned about the photo you were using as an avatar, but I see that you've removed it. Just do whatever is comfortable for you.
