SpartanForce
As anyone suffered from this side-effect? I take the seroquel xr 200mg at 7p.m and only can sleep at 3a.m-4a.m. I'm gonna take on the morning because this insomnia is ruining my life
Moody
I never tried the XR, but I had that problem with regular Seroquel. I took it at 10pm and went right to sleep, but then I woke up 2 hours later and couldnt go back to sleep for the rest of the night. I tried taking it in the morning but it didnt work, I would sleep for 2 hours after I took it. I woke up after that, but I work during the day, so I cant take a 2 hour nap every morning. Hopefully switching to a morning dose will work for you, I think there are some folks here at CB who take the XR version in the morning.
g8orgirl
I was on the XR version for two years and it did not help me sleep at all so I went back to the regular version. Taking it in the morning sounds like a good idea if it's keeping you up at night. I find the regular Seroquel helps me sleep very well.
enlightened_plutonian
I've found since my pdoc increased my Seroquel dose a few months ago it no longer works as a sleep aid. For a while I was struggling to stay asleep (going to bed 1am, waking about 6am then only broken sleep), but eventually I managed to get my sleep pattern back to what it should be (bed at 1am, wake at 9am). I take half of my Seroquel in the morning and it isn't an issue.
amy5820
I'm going off of regular seroquel and on to Seroquel XR for and add on for depression. I'm also on a few other meds, including lunesta for sleep and effexor for depression . Does Seroquel XR help? ....
