It still upsets me quite a bit. Ok, really a lot. Even though I was in florida at the time very far from the sites it is still troublesome. I can't watch any footage.

I don't want to imagine...but thats all I can do is that its a feeling similar to people who were around when Pearl Harbor happened. My grandma was alive, living, and working on the west coast at the time but she has always refused to talk about it.

I'm not trying to compare apples and oranges. I'm just describing that feeling of someone invading our country. And its scary as hell.

I still think of the embassy staff I worked with that week and how hard it was to get comms back after it happened. As a Brit I don't have to same resonance with it, but I remember our involvement and how terrified and devastated our US friends were.

I still have a lot of nightmares about it - I think it's nice to have one day where I'm not the only one thinking about it. Not that I think about it EVERY day or anything, but I would say I still have PTSD symptoms related to it on a weekly-monthly basis. I mean, if I hadn't already had PTSD that probably wouldn't be happening, but I still think it's nice to all remember together.
