that_girl
Hello. I'm a SI hitter. I've tried therapy, but I have serious trust issues and so I just basically sit there and not say anything which makes it difficult to get help. I hit because I hate hate hate hate hate hate myself. Hate. Myself. And the emotions attached to that are really overwhelming. But I don't want to be like this, so I'm here as kind of a first step to getting my cRazy self back into therapy and maybe being honest with what's going on with me. olga
Hi, that_girl, and welcome to Crazyboards. I'm glad you recognize that you won't start to recover if you can't be open with your therapist. Maybe you could write some thoughts down and take them with you to the first appointment? That way, you could edit it as much as you want, but at least the tdoc would be getting some information. It's a way to break the ice a little, I think. Be sure to read our rules. I say that because sometimes people don't read them and then they're surprised when they ask us to delete a thread and we won't, or some other circumstance comes up. Please don't be afraid to contact one of the staff if there is anything you don't understand. Again, welcome! olga

Indigo 'n dye
Hi. Take a few moments to read the rules, they are not too onerous, look around and see how things work here, then grab your towel and jump in!

lwamikids
First off, welcome to the board!!! My name is Stephanie - I'm 26 years old, been married for 9 years now and I have 3 great children. I am diagnosed as Bipolar I with generalized anxiety. My meds are listed below. I also have a 5 year old son who is diagnosed as Bipolar I with psychotic features, autism, and ADHD. I do have a website which I blog in, there's some other support there if you ever want to check it out. It's in my signature! The best and most important step into getting mentally therapy is being honest with ourselves so you're headed in the right direction! Try to keep your head up and I look forward to seeing you around.
