klonopin again

Okay it's been almost a whole yr and my doc switched me from klonopin to xanax. Well I just got out of the psych ward and they didn't believe in benzo's so it was a cold turky detox. I saw my doc on friday and he put me back on k pin.

What I'm trying to say is since the klonopin burned out well I think it did. Will the klonopin work again or is it permant. Like if it burns out once, thats it and that benzo no longer will have the effect on you?

I don't know this for sure, but my guess is that it will work for you if you have not taken it for over a year. I don't think tolerance is permanent and lifelong.

I think I have to agree with jt07. If you've had time off from K-pin, my thinking is that it should work again. I don't think that tolerance is something that lasts if you have time off the drug.

If I were a betting person, I'd bet that it will work again. You've had plenty of time for it to get out of your system. It's sure worth a try.

I would also bet that it would work again. I have been on and off it since I started psych meds, and each time it worked.

Glad to hear it's working - was going to tell you it was likely it WOULD work again, in my experience. Hope you get relief from it. I'm on it, and it definitely works for me, even though I've been on it for a long time.
