I'm not sure if this is my OCD over riding the klonopin or I really am that unlucky and it worked for a few days and gave up. I'm just really concerned. What started all this mess was I smoked a litl weed which I know I shouldn't. Then my anxiety went thru the roof because that is what weed does to me. It increases the Gaba in your brain. So I was like I'll take another one thinking it was going to calm me down and nothing. I mean I don't have the racing thoughts I had in 5150 but I sure on edge and I just have this fear that it's not working anymore. Antigone Posted September 21, 2012 Share Posted September 21, 2012 Well, pot can cause paranoia, and mixed in with mental illness and other meds, all kinds of things could be happening. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this is a bad idea, to do a drug that causes anxiety and then take another drug expecting it to control that anxiety. It's impossible to tell, from your data points, whether the klonopin is working or not. You are producing the very symptoms you are trying to control. That doesn't seem rational to me. sonicwhite Posted September 21, 2012 Author Share Posted September 21, 2012 .5 twice a day is what I take. About a yr ago my pdoc and I switched to xanax and it was a hassel. When I went to the psychward this last couple of week they detoxed me from my xanax and my doc outside the hospital agreed to give me klonopin. I think I'm okay just a litl OCD. I think the answer to your questions will become clearer when you stop taking street drugs. It might give the antipsychotics and benzos some time to actually work.
