Jen78
I take most of my meds in the evening but im so drowsy all...day...long! I dont think its the valium but from noon till about 230 i cant keep my eyes open at all. All other times im not zombie tired but annoying tired. Should i ask my pdoc if there is something he can give me to keep me awake? I really dont want another pill but i need to be able to function too. The majority of my meds are taken in the evening and at bed time
melissaw72
It could be side effects in general of the meds (even though you've been on them, they might just cause you to be tired anyway(?)). I know it is frustrating ... that was happening to me before I was diagnosed with narcolepsy and put on provigil. NOT saying you have narcolepsy, but the drowsiness etc was looked into and my neurologist diagnosed me with narcolepsy. I think it is worth asking/telling your pdoc about. At least letting him/her know that you are very tired all the time and it is hard to function so they can look into it.

dancesintherain
Definitely worth asking your pdoc. Can't tell you what it's a side effect of, but that seems likely. I'm dealing with it myself right now and my pdoc mentioned caffeine pills if it's an occasional thing. But not a long-term fix. And not something w/o pdoc approval. For the worst of it (12-2:30), when do you eat lunch? This is probably something you've already thought of, but it could be related to that--not enough food, too much food, not enough sugar, too much sugar, etc. The body's strange and can react to either too much or too little. Jen78
I usually eat around noon. I have to force food. Topamax gives me no appitite so that could be part of my problem. I take my latuda with dinner since its my biggest meal. Valium i take up to 3x prn. Topamax is a bedtime med. Ive been on this schedule for a month now. Id love a caffine pill but im a caffine junkie as it is lol! I see my pdoc on the 16th i think so i'll make a note to ask him about it
loveyouhateyou
I just came off of Geodon after 2 months of being a zombie. I was scared to death to drive in the morning. It was the most bizarre, awful sleepy feeling in the world. It was uncontrollable. I finally went to the doc and he put me on Ritalin. It helped a little but I think I had just had enough so I switched to Abilify. I would speak with your doc. If everything else is going well with your meds, maybe adding a stimulant is the answer. Good luck

bubblegirl
That's a lot of Latuda. Might be something to discuss with the pdoc.
