your_illusion97
My previous pNP had me on a dose of 1mg twice a day plus a PRN dose when I had breakthrough anxiety. I was having worse anxiety and my new pdoc increased it to 2mg twice a day, but with out a PRN dose. I am still having the breakthrough anxiety though I dont think I should with the dose increase. How do I ask this new pdoc for a PRN dose with out sounding like a drug seeker? I also have an issue with my Vyvanse, but that a completley different issue. I have a long list of issues I want to bring to her attention anyway along with the anxiety, so I dont know if she will will address the anxiety. So yeah pretty much much I dont know what to do with my anxiety. Any ideas? How to bring it up?
melissaw72
I am on klonopin as NOT a PRN, and for breakthrough anxiety (PRN) I was on xanax (short-acting) before I weaned off it..
netsavy006
When and how often are you having the breakthrough anxiety?
crtclms
Maybe Klonopin isn't a good choice for you? Of course I can't really say. 4mg isn't insane, but it is a goodly amount. Technically you have 2mg to move up, but I've only seen people on here on 6mg very rarely.
your_illusion97
I'm not having the breakthrough anxiety everyday like I was before the 2mg dose, but maybe 2 or 3 times a week at the most.
crtclms
Have you taken a CBT class? That might help. I know I am never going to get rid of all my anxiety, but CBT helps. To be honest, I need to brush up on it.
your_illusion97
No never taken a CBT class, but to be honest the groups here are dissapointing. They to offer a DBT group though, so when things switch over I may try it.
