Before Asking A Meds Question...

Recommended Posts

Hey, we are glad you are here!

But please do us a favor.  Everyone shows up and wants to know "Tell me about drug X".

There are a lot of resources available to you.  So please take a little time and effort to do some reading on your own.  Then you can develop more specific questions that we will be glad to talk about.

Here are some starting points:

Yeah, its a hilarious concept. Interested consumers who seek additional knowledge about their meds so they can better work with their doctors to improve the outcome. And how dare they talk about it with others?

Why who would have thought of such a thing!    ;)

Wow, and you would thing the complex knowledge of the human physiological, condition, biochemisty as well as an understanding of half-life, pharmacokinetics and teretogenic effects would be included in 4 years of medical school after 4 years of pre med and ofcourse 4 years of residency treating psychiatric clients. And all I needed all this time was to read a few drug books and I could treat myself LMFAO.

So what IS your problem?

It must be interesting if it touches on physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology,

and reproductive biology without you having any need to know what it is

you're putting into your body and your baby. Neuroendocrine, perhaps?

Let's face it, though. If you are pregnant and on ANY long-term

medications your gynecologist had damn well better know what risks they

pose. If your OB/GYN and pdoc aren't on speaking terms you need one

or more new doctors, ASAP.

It's a good thing I'm a guy - if I had to choose between my baby's

health and my psych care, I'd be crazier than I already am. ;)

It certainly wouldn't be a laughing matter.

I enjoyed crazymeds , it is hard to always navigate to the right topics, pages for info but I feel more educated from reading about Trileptal, I am sick from withdrawal from it
