Here I am. A crazy pornstar.. well trying to be. (a pornstar that is.. I got crazy covered lol)

Recommended Posts

I never said I was some bigshot pornstar lol.. I make and sell homemade videos and I'm a camgirl. I do these things when I feel good, not as a career. I'd like to make it a career but for now it's just some extra pocket change. as I said in my intro, I've spent the last year laying the groundwork for making this a career. I don't make much yet. I don't do the kind of porn where I'm fucking random dudes on cam.. thats studio porn. mines home-made solo or with my bf. there's lots of sites to sell home-made porn. and I do live webcam shows through a camsite..

If you are making an income through work, unless it is something that is declared and under a permitted earning bracket, then that is, IMHO, a kind of fraud. I don't have any moral judgments about cam work, I write erotic fiction so I'm no prude, but many people here including me struggled to get disability and keep our claim because other people claim, work on the side, get found out and the fraud gets publicized, which makes the system tougher on people like us.

As I understand it, disability is granted on the condition that any side money is declared and factored in. If like VE says, you do that, fine.

I get why you would want to do the groundwork to set up a career later, maybe that is the hitch with the system, you're either considered disabled and not doing any work or able and self sufficient, there is no middle ground. Which is a shame. But aside from my personal feelings about this, which aren't a big deal, if you are going to talk about any sideline income and also about claiming disability, with a photo next to your username, just be aware that accounts don't get deleted and in the unlikely event that law enforcement found out, we would have to supply the info you have given.

Ok... it's none of your business but here.. I am allowed to make up to $931 per month and still qualify for QMB. they look at 50% of my earnings from my side job not 100% of it. My ssdi is only $757. Once I'm doing well enough in my side work that I make over that $931, I no longer get QMB and all I'll have is medicare until I make around $1,200 per month then I will no longer qualify for medicare. I know what I'm doing and I'm not trying to screw anyone over. My caseworker knows what I do and it's all good. report whatever the heck you want. I've been working for a year for next to nothing trying to build a fanbase by posing free photosets, camming for a lower price, and selling videos for cheap until I can afford to do all of this in HD. once I can do all of this in HD and I have a bigger following then I'll be able to charge more and make more money and I'll REPORT IT LIKE I'M SUPPOSED TO. now lay off about this shit. Jesus.

Hi, welcome.

I think the XXX adult entertainment should be taken out of the signature. Just because of the minors, and google. I mean, really, do you have to advertise the hell out of it?

Also, don't be more of an asshole than the mods. Or admins. We don't like that

I pointed it out more to protect you and than because I wanted to be judgy about it. I am a little judgy about it, yes, but it was more just because I want you to be able to post here in a way that isn't going to cause you grief later, is all.

I tend to agree with the mods.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with what you do for a living, in my opinion.  But around here we support each other for MI, not for your professional associations.  Maybe if you were not so out front with it, people would be more supportive of you.  Right now, it seems like you are just screaming for attention.  Just a thought.

I get yelled at for bringing it up, too. Sex and MI can be a touchy topic for a lot of people, because sometimes we make choices that we wouldn't if we weren't otherwise symptomatic. Sometimes it's better to make a different topic to flesh that out, than to risk derailing everything all the time.

I don;t have ANY issue with sex work/camming/porn etc. I enjoy viewing it. Really.

I also don't really care about the details of whether someone claims and also does that on the side. I didn't ask to know the finances, I wanted to make it clear that (given someone revealed they were claiming and fraudulently working last week) that it is in the user agreement that if someone talks openly here about what turns out to be an illegal activity, we have an obligation to supply that info should a criminal investigation arise.

Since this is not illegal and the OP knows why I was being picky, we're all good. My hope is that the OP can enhance her career in her dealings here and not hinder it by sharing info she may regret.

It is not that I wanted to report the OP, nor do I judge her situation as it is. I just wanted people to know when they join where they stand in terms fo what they share. Mostly because it is a MASSIVE pain in the ass when someone kicks off months after sharing lots of personal data they now want deleted. Those users may not have read the agreement, some didn't get the seriousness of it, maybe we don't emphasize it, but I reiterate, if you share personal, professionally damaging or something illegal here, we often won;t delete it and if it is criminal, we can't withold that evidence should it be requested of us. Though we don't make it a mission to report people unless we have to.

I had to dig for it, but I eventually saw that you have bipolar I. Just so you know, that while you seem to have found a creative way of taking advantage of hypersexuality, for some people here it is very damaging. You should read up on the etiquette of trigger warnings.

Also it seems that you are more interested in promoting your sex trade than you are in discussing and seeking support for MI.

I'm not sure that's a fair assessment.  Work can be a huge part of who we are as people, to not mention it or address it, for some, would be leaving a significant portion of themselves out of the conversation.  If anything, she's been incredibly accommodating with removing any information that could be conceived of as promotional and pandering.  This is the introduction thread after all, I’d suspect to get into the nitty gritty of MI discussion we'd head over to the specific threads that pertain to us.

Since posting her original introduction, whatif has changed her profile, pic and sig.  Trust me, if you had seen what it was before you would hold a different opinion.

Bravo to whatif for taking everyone's suggestions to heart.  I think you'll get a lot more out of the site now.

So . . . um. . . welcome!
