Raven_Wing
I had a major crash in mood over the last three weeks. Everything surfaced all at once. All of my problems were trying to get out of my head and express themselves at the same time. Then I had a major personal event that caused my anxiety levels to go sky high. My friend called my pdoc and he set up an emergency appointment for me. After a long, and very difficult appointment, he has put me on a three week reducing dose course of Diazepam 5mg. When that is finished he wants to think about some long term medication. I'm really scared right now. I don't want to get addicted to this stuff, but I have not felt so calm in a long time. Wooster
When used responsibly and as directed, addiction is not likely. You will likely have some physical tolerance, but that's not the same as addiction. ETA: There's a pinned thread at the top of this forum addressing exactly this concern: http://www.crazyboards.org/forums/index.php/topic/44875-addiction-vs-dependence/ Edited March 3, 2013 by Wooster
