heavendj4
I bought 7 day plastic container for my meds so I don't forget or double dose.. Anyway how long is Seroquel good for after you pop it out of the packet? Before it becomes a sugar pill ? If it does? *Can* it lose it's effectiveness? rowan77
I have a 7 day container for my meds too. I take seroquel and it is fine in the container.
Wooster
According to the patient information: Keep your tablets in the blister pack until it is time to take them. If you take the tablets out of the blister pack they will not keep well. Alternatively, you could cut the blister pack into pieces that will fit in your pill keeper Edited May 4, 2013 by Wooster
jarn
When I took Seroquel, if I got the generic, it came out of the packet. It was always fine. I'm not sure it would be any different for the brand name.
AnneMarie
?? My Seroquel always came in a regular med bottle. The blister pack was just a starter sample thing. Maybe there is a difference, but I am skeptical.
Gearhead
In the United States, Seroquel comes in a bottle, not a blister pack. I'm looking at my bottle of Seroquel and its use-by date is one year after the prescription was filled.
lysergia
i'm in Canada and my bottle says the same thing. i'm not sure if that means that's when the meds expire, or the prescription expires though. i dunno about seroquel, but when wellbutrin goes bad there's no mistaking it. it's the worst smell i have ever smelled in my life. heavendj4
I'm in aus and seroquel has always come in a blister pack. I'm not talking about the expiry date that's on box or bottle. I'm asking about once its out of the pack or bottle how long can it survive till it becomes useless?
larkspur
The point is, since it doesn't universally come in a blister pack, being loose in a pill box is not going to effect the drug negatively. It's kept in regular pill bottles for up to a year at a time, so one week will not be a problem.
