Becks
It's actually more than that, I do believe it's askethsia. It's an inner restlessness and my legs just can't stop moving. I'm taking 40mg of Latuda, was supposed to up to 80mg, but the askethsia was even worse, so pnurse suggested today to stay at the 40mg. Doc called in Cogentin to help. I had a good exerpeience with it when I was on the Geodon. Anyone have it NOT work for them??
lanry78
I don't know about that medicine, but I have suffered from very very bad restless leg at night for years. It kicks in around 10:30 every single night. It keeps me up and in pain, kicking, moving my legs, punching and slapping my legs and knees, and all that good stuff. I have tried EVERYTHING I could find and the one thing that helped a lot for a week but then it's affects faded (still HELPS) is eating a banana around 9:30. The other thing, believe it or not, is an old wives tale. A family member told me about putting a bar of Ivory (I think it was Ivory) soap underneath my sheets when I go to bed. I know this sounds like a joke but I tried it for my FIRST night last night. When I kept the bar by my knee it helps .. When it slid away the pain kicked in again for 30-45 minutes. I slid the bar back into the place it was and it subsided again. I have no idea why the hell or how the hell this would work, or if it even did, but I can share my one night of luck with you. In a week or so I will try to stop back by and see if it was just working because my mind had hope or it actually works
Becks
When I was on the Seroquel, I tried the banana and soap thing with no luck So far the cogentin has helped but the restless leg doesn't usually kick in till about 2 hours after I take my Latuda. I'm crossing my fingers!
AnneMarie
Cogentin usually improves after you take it a few times. How did it go? Edited May 10, 2013 by AnneMarie
