lanry78
I am experiencing definite psychosis in the form of delusional thinking .. people are plotting against me - fun stuff. A few days ago it got a little rougher than I have been used to it being and I took a Seroquel ER that was prescribed a while back. Very low dose .. Either 50 or 75 I think. The first few hours I dozed off. That is about all I remember. Woke up, went back to bed .. The next day stuff got fun. The paranoia flared up even more intensely. This has now been going on for 3-4 days. I stupidily JUST remembered the last time I took Seroquel in this dose (to help Mania - racing thoughts etc) it worked but it induced the same symptoms. I also went into severe depression for 3-4 months which I pray isn't starting on me now -- I do feel sluggish. Anyone else experienced this ? Also, is it possible other AP/AAP will do the same ? Only other med I am on is Lamictal
bookgirl
I had psychosis when I was on low-dose Seroquel that seemed to be getting worse. Turned out to be because my doctor wasn't titrating up fast enough and I was on ineffective (for me) mood stabilizers, so my mixed state was escalating at the same time. They went away once my Seroquel dose increased and I went on Lamictal and Trileptal.
Parapluie
I became psychotic shortly after starting Seroquel. I was taking only 25 mg for four days before I suddenly became acutely psychotic. However, correlation does not equal causation. To this day, I don't know if that psychosis was induced by Seroquel or if it was endogenous.
