I would like to delete my account from Crazyboards.org AND my posts

Hello,

I'm looking for a job and I don't really want "crazyboards.org" to pop-up in the google search for me, like it does right now, so how do I delete myself and my posts from crazyboards.org? Seriously, I really need to be deleted. Thank you

I don't know about deleting but you can ask an admin to change your username

Just a general heads up for anyone reading this thread:

So, even if an admin changes your user name, it's up to Google as to when the older versions of those pages will be replaced. They are already indexed- which means, essentially, Google has already put them in its little scrap book for the world to see. It is hard to say just when those particular pages with your identifying information on them will be recrawled. Likely it won't be too long, but it certainly will not be instantaneous, and this is something staff at CB has no control over.

Recommendations:

*As was said before, PM an admin regarding your request for name change.

*Don't use your full name on the internet, particularly anywhere that you can't maintain full control of who sees it (this is kind of Life on the Internet 101). If you do, be aware of whatever you attach to that name.

*Lastly, when agreeing to something-such as a user agreement- be sure to read the entire thing, including parts such as the following: "We reserve the right to display your posts indefinitely. They are ultimately your intellectual property to use elsewhere as you may please, but don't show up six months later and ask us to remove all your posts" (-from the CB user agreement)

You can leave all you want.  We just won't be removing your account or deleting your posts.

 

As was said, you can contact an admin about changing your username.  We have no control over when that will change in the Google indexing.

 

And isthisit - presuming that someone is a terrorist based on where they live (you do know he was born in the USA, right?) is very xenophobic, seriously.  And it's not appreciated on CB.

I had no idea where he is from, I just disagreed with his views.

You've been present in chat when his location has been mentioned, more than once.  I was there too, it's when I learned where he's from.

 

You still can't have your account deleted.  If you wish to leave the website, you may do so at any time.  You can even block the website yourself so you're not tempted to access it, change your own password to something you won't remember, etc.  It's all within your power.

If you are having issues with specific people you can block them yourself. It's in the user profiles section. Or, in chat, you can block PMs from specific people, too. Right-click on their name in the 'members online' list.

The problem comes from the need to block so many people as you have hurt and or angered so many people. Some of us tried to reach out to you and help and then you slammed us in chat. I said you needed a fresh start and to be nice in a private message and you flipped out on me in chat talking about how I was threatening you. Others tried to reach out to you with same result.

Since you freaked out when I sent you a private chat I just assumed you had never received one

If you want to make things better here..... Suck it up.... Come back.... And for God's sake be nice or at least don't be mean to other people and you will soon find some really cool people to hang out with and kill time. You might also find a group of people that can relate to you

I just have to wonder aloud, why you feel its necessary to post inflammatory things isthisit? and imply that you're being cast as a villian here when you've put yourself in that light? No one here put words in your mouth, and words are all we have to go on here. I really wish you'd drop the victim act and act genuine with us or stop posting things about people you really know nothing about because anytime you were in chat you were hyper focused on yourself with no concern for how you were coming across to us. Granted that might be part of your mental illness, but I really do not like seeing you posting in threads like this or the fundraising thread you attempted to hijack for whatever reason. I agree with Ducky, if you want to make things better here, it's within your power, Suck it up, Come back, and be nice rather then acting like you're better than everyone else and if you can get to a place where you can listen to others and have a little compassion for their suffering then you just might be able to see there's a lot of great people here. Regardless of their location in the world. A lot of us are defensive over this community because we CARE about the people in it that make it a community, the staff and members might not all get along, but most of us have respect for one another. That's something I've never felt you've shown for CB, either here on the board or in the chat, just some food for thought and purely my opinion. Like it or lump it, that's how I feel and I'm tired of biting my tongue on this with you. Sometimes tough love is the only way to really help someone else. Not sure I told you to restrict your posting.

I'm not even certain, if that's specifically an issue, it was an issue when I was an admin.

If you'll note- I'm not actually an admin at his point.

You have a problem with the staff, maybe you should take it up with the staff.

My issue here is that there are probably better things to do on CB then to beat the proverbial dead horse.

I know it seems to be our official sport and everything, but really, there must be a line somewhere.

As a member, I do actually get to say what I think.
