I cut for many years and stopped for two years and thought things were good, but now I have started again and I feel I have no real reason. I don't do it when I am upset I just get the skin crawling feel try to wait it out than cut for 3 days straight than stop for 2 months than it starts again. I feel weird about it and I just feel that I want to do it and get mad that other people would not like it. I just keep thinking that maybe I will be a lifetime cutter. Anyone out there that feels the same?

We do a thing because it serves a purpose or function, or meets a need.


If it didn't work on some level, you wouldn't be doing it.


I encourage you to spend some time determining what needs are getting met this way, and finding less harmful ways to meet that need.
