MrTastybutt
I make lunch for my husband most days. He's had his current soft insulated lunch box for a number of years and washings and it's pretty dead. I've suggested a few (all cat related) and he's said no. Does anyone out there use a large lunch box or bento? Has it been servicable for a number of years? Please let mme know. Otherwise I will send him with this:
Wooster
That's adorable. Will he get crap from other people at work? If so, I say that's his new lunch box! I've been drooling over these lately because they're like adult legos: http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?CatName=FoodStorage&SubcatId=LunchBlox&Prod_ID=RP092020&Redirect=1 In the end, I don't think I will get it because of how I make my food ahead for the week and it needs to stay in the container I make it in, and I'm not willing (at this point anyway) to buy 5 of everything. He actually does have a couple of the LunchBlox thingies. I might use them for ze kid wghen school starts. Guys at work would totally give him crap for taking a cat box. lol
ninetynine
Have you thought about seeing if Tupperware make lunch boxes? If you're looking for something durable and don't have an issue with plastic, Tupperware has the reputation. I don't usually push brand names, but ... just a thought. You might be able to pick up a retro version on EBay to save some money. I like the cat box. --- ETA: This looks pretty good http://order.tupperware.com/pls/htprod_www/tup_show_item.show_item_detail?fv_item_category_code=44000&fv_item_number=P10107629000 Edited July 27, 2013 by ninetynine

I was averse to Tupperware at first, too scientology for me, but you can order direct?
ninetynine
I'm not sure about direct ordering. I admit that the only Tupperware items I've ever owned have been gifts. I think two years of driving past a billboard advertising Tupperware, has finally penetrated my brain. Yikes.
FlamelessCandle
Yes - you can order Tupperware direct without being subjected to the "parties" and pressure. I LOVE tupperware; it's sort of a guilty pleasure but it's also very useful.. I've found great deals on NEW tupperware on eBay, sold by consultants who are getting out of the Tupperware business. edited to add: link to "His Lunch Box" on tupperware.com site Need a rugged meal keeper for a hard-working man? http://order.tupperware.com/pls/htprod_www/tup_show_item.show_item_detail?fv_item_category_code=44000&fv_item_number=P10107629000 Edited July 27, 2013 by FlamelessCandle
