A good percentage of the general population have hallucinations while going to sleep/waking up; these being called hypnogogic and hypnopompic hallucinations. My question is how often is normal for the general population? I have these very often, to the point that it doesn't even freak me out anymore, I just wait for it to pass. And they are a lot more detailed and 'real' than the normal visual hallucinations I have during the day from sz.

So I'm wondering if it happens more in sz (when not already in a psychotic episode) than in normal people. I've also noticed that I have a staggering amount of lucid dreams. Though my constant reality checking probably has a lot to do with the lucid dreaming part.
