CardinalAllen
I'm 23 and have had ECT done. I also have slow speech and thinking due to anxiety meds. My doctor said he may try aericept. It is for people with alhiemezers I read. Is this normal to use this drug on someone like me? Why not vyvanse or adderall? I really want to try it because I can't stand not being able to carry on a conversation. What should I do? Ask him about vyvanse? Go for the Aericept? Thoughts? vanderk
I've not heard of Aricept used in this manner. Your doc is probably reluctant to use an amphetamine as it would likely worsen your anxiety. ECT at 23? That sounds very unusual.....
Savannah
I had 3 seperate series of ECT when I was 25. The first two worked well, but I stupidly went off my AD and it all started again. I then had a series of 12 treatments but had become treatment resistant and no AD helped. I sure wont do that again.
