Velvet Elvis
Just in case anyone else is as fascinated by this as I am: http://neurosciencenews.com/neuroscience-brain-stethoscope-music-seizures-441/
saveyoursanity
Okay, possibly I'm an idiot, but I couldn't tell when the seizure was. I was expecting more music-y, less beep-y bloop-y ultrasound-machine-y.
hagar
Really cool.
vanderk
Rats. My office computer can't play You Tube videos. Stinking IS wonks. I'll have to check this out when I get home.
ScrambleHead
So now when you have a seizure you can listen to music that matches?
Bam
That is fucking awesome I wonder if I hook up my own brain, if it would sound like Metallica?
crtclms
The seizure starts just before the midpoint, I'm pretty sure. Parvizi was one of the neurologists involved DH' brain surgery. DH gave them permission to use all of his data for research, and Parvisi has already written two papers about DH. I should tell DH to email him, and find out if DH's seizures are included. I know if he was, Dr. Parvisi would send him a file, and I know DH would be totally fine with posting it. This is of course a long shot, but you never know. DH already appears in some of the Stanford videos as an example of tonic-clonics, though.
