Some good news.....

.....I've always had a lot of problems with anxiety, since I can remember, on or off meds, it drove me crazy. I was diagnosed as BP only about a year ago, before that, I was told I was just plain psychotic. And in the end, I always thought I was just being whiny and lazy and overly sensitive. Since I've been properly diagnosed, I went to therapy and started to understand what was going on with me. I still get episodes, I have struggled with mania since the diagnosed, I OD:ed during that episode and I am still struggling with depression, but the crippling anxiety has gone. I feel that while it is difficult, and it's always going to be a fight, I'm up for it.

 

Anyway, that was my inspirational happy rambling for the day.  Some things get better. Just thought I'd share something positive.

I'm so glad you got the proper diagnosis. I think a lot of us here can relate to the "I'm just a whiny loser" feeling. I hope you continue to get better.

Yup. I used tell myself to get over myself. "Be a man." I'd think. Still happens on the meds. "I'm perfectly fine. I was just being sensitive."

OMFG, I wish I had a dollar for every time I said those things to myself.  I could pay my house off.
