Hello! I'm crazy! Are you crazy too?!?

Recommended Posts

Hellloooo fellow crazies. Well hopefully you're okay with me saying that. Anyhow.

I have had all of the following little labels put upon me: Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depression, Insomnia, Alcohol Abuse, Self Injury, PTSD with hyper-vigilance, and Bipolar 1 with aspects of psychosis.

I grew up in a home with all the different types of abuse you could think of, and joined the military, wherein I was the lucky winner of more abuse, namely sexual assaults. I kept things together admirably well, until a year ago, during the pregnancy with my second child, combined with antidepressants, and things went KRAYKRAY. I was involuntarily admitted three times. The last time came with the label Bipolar and an RX for lithium.

That's a story in and of itself I'll get into later. Big issue for me. Anyhow, I decided this summer that everything was A-OKAY and all the doctors are stupid assholes and I was going to prove to myself that the medical community could SHOVE IT and THEIR PILLS... and well I went what I assume is manic and started taking my seroquel and lithium again last week.

So that's my crazy story in a tiny nutshell. There's more to me as a person of course and hopefully I am in a place wherein other living human beings will want to talk to me and will not run away. The only people I've ever been honest with were inside of loony bins. Sometimes I miss my loony friends. So I am hoping you all will want to be my loony friends ;)

lol, that was awesome! I am starting to see how much difference having a sense of humor about it can have. Thanks for the welcome Indie!

BTW, also, just within a few posts I can feel my sense of stigma easing. I have decided to check out the next DBSA meeting locally.

Thanks guys.

Hello and welcome.

And yes, definitely the sense of humour if you can make it work for you.
Black and twisted is good.

Alongside the humour options there are also a range of philosophical tools and approaches.
