Butterflykisses
I am going to get my 2.5 mg zyprexa compounded. Anyone try this before? I hate cutting the 2.5 for 1.25, the pill cutters don't work right and I want an accurate dose. CookieN
I cut the pill with a pill cutter. I know it´s not exact, but I don´t mind, since what I miss one day, I take it the next
Butterflykisses
I wanted to add that I am going to be taking the morning dose in the afternoon instead as that is when I feel the most anxiety. In the morning I take: 600 mg of lithium ER, 40 mg of Geodon, 1000mg of metformin This leaves me calm until the afternoon when I feel really ocd anxious, so in the afternoon I will take 1.25 mg of zyprexa with my 1mg of cogentin In the evening I take: 120 mg of Geodon At bedtime I take: 300 mg of lithium ER, 1.25 zyprexa, and 1 mg of cogentin
jt07
I would get a pill cutter instead of going to a compounding pharmacy. You are taking the equivalent of one 2.5 mg tablet daily even though you divide it into two doses. I really don't think that it matters that the if it is exactly 1.25/1.25. Of course, I'm not a doctor.
Butterflykisses
Its hard to cut even with a pill cuter, because it is not scored. Plus it annoys me to take 1/2 of pills. Its weird but it drives me crazy. If I get it compounded I get a capsule with exact amount.
neingesicht
I had it compounded, it can definitely be done. They were very good about it, and it's straight olanzapine with no fillers. Just a heads up. Didn't cost anything extra to have it done, either.
San
If the pharmacy will do it, and it's free, why not?
