Datagram
My Pdoc last Monday raised my Lamictal and put me on Latuda, I was taking Seroquel to help me sleep I was on 300mg which was way too high so I was brought down to 50mg. The past couple days I've been experiencing burning in my hands. I've looked it up and I've read it could be Neuropathy caused from the Lamictal or Latuda. Should I go to the hospital? Neuropathy is nerve damage but I've also read it can be temporary. Should I wait this out or go to the hospital later today? Has anyone else experienced this? When I first started the Lamictal months ago I kept getting the taste of Sodium in my mouth but it went away eventually. I don't want to go to the hospital and rack up a huge bill if I can avoid it. crtclms
You should call your pdoc, s/he is going to know a lot more crazymed side effects than the average ER Dr. I can't speak to whether or not it is an emergency that needs to be seen right this minute, but I personally would wait until Monday. If you feel anxious about that, it really is your decision.
melissaw72
I can't speak for Latuda because I am not on it, but with lamictal, I have been on it for many years without any neuropathy. I agree with calling your pdoc. Maybe it isn't neuropathy.
