M@ri
I started a thread earlier about a new member's post. I cannot find ways to report status updates in the way that forum posts can be reported. Could one be added or if one is already in place, could someone please tell me where it's located? Thank you. Sorry for the rage-y post earlier.
hagar
I would support such a feature. Or just stopping the Twitter/Facebook posts automatically posting as a status update on CB. The people who "post" them probably aren't even aware they're showing up here, and they rarely if ever are relevant to this site. Just saying. saveyoursanity
I think I've already made this suggestion and there was some reason we can't do it. I know quite a few of the mods don't like it either, but traditionally we've gone with routes to make posting and getting assistance easier not harder (which is why we allow logging in with your twitter) . Unfortunately, in this case the software automatically then links it to status updates which blows. la la la~ paging VE
Velvet Elvis
I can make a request to Invision, but that really does no good. If you need to report a status update, report the user. Status updates are really intended to be viewed primarily from the profiles anyway. The simplest solution to this problem would be to simply remove status updates from the front page. I have the twitter integration enabled because we had to disable guest posting due to spam. I want to make it easy for people to drop in and make a once-off comment or post without having to register. Some people feel uncomfortable giving their email address as is required to register. hagar
That's understandable. I withdraw my suggestion .
