yellowlovesgray
Curious, I'm not sure what my next med is going to be but I'm weaning off Geodon (again, OY) and I need something to take its place. I have Major Depressive Disorder and Chrnoic Fatigue Syndrome and crazy anxiety. Geodon was helpful in lifting my moods but it had intolerable long-term effects on my body and I need to get off it. domovoi
Of these two I've only been on saphris and I liked it. I'm not sure how effective for depression it would be, though. Please let us know which one you'd chosen and whether it works for you?
nicolee
I am a lurker and rarely post. However, I was on Geodon for 5 years and switched to Latuda in September 2013. I was not experiencing any issues with Geodon. Pfizer discontinued it from patient assistance so my pdoc switched me to Latuda at that time. Anyway...I have had a good experience with Latuda. I actually feel a little better on Latuda than I did on Geodon. I tend to be more depressed, however, in the interest of full disclosure, I have not had a major episode in a couple of years. I have never tried Saphris...pdoc offered it as a choice and I chose Latuda because of the whole sublingual aspect of Saphris.
AnnaBanana
I've never been on Saphris, but I've taken Latuda for 3 years and you'd have to pry it out of my cold dead hands before I'd give it up. I've had a few mild bouts of depression on it (AD's helped) and I've had one very mild hypomanic episode on it (didn't even realize I was hypo til if was over).
