netsavy006
I don't know if it is unusual, but I take Xanax on a daily basis too. I am on 0.5mg four times a day. I take Xanax daily to help prevent (and reduce the severity) of panic attacks, as I have an anxiety disorder. It really helps me a lot.
melissaw72
I dont think it is unusual either. I can take mine PRN, but space them out as if they are on a daily schedule.
Phoenix_Rising
I've taken Xanax on a daily basis a few times over the years. I have had trouble with becoming "used to it" and having to take a higher dosage (at one point I was taking 6 mg/day).

I have had trouble with becoming "used to it" and having to take a higher dosage (at one point I was taking 6 mg/day). I've experienced this also, up to at least 6 mg/day. When I changed pdocs he weaned me down and changed around meds, and I have never needed a high dose than 1.5 mg since.
crtclms
I'm on Xanax, 1mg BID, with an additional 1mg PRN. I've been taking that amount since 2006 without changes up or down.
