So I've been on latuda for 6 days. After I take it I almost feel a little I don't wanna say high but off. I eat it with prob 500 calories but still feel nauseous. I sort of feel more stable I guess

Anyone have good experiences with this drug?

the nausea went away in a few weeks for me.  i've been on it since november, but i don't think i'm keeping it.  i'm down to only 20mgs since having some pretty heavy anhedonia/apathy/sexual side effects and lots of sedation at only 40mg.  at this dose i don't think it's really doing much.  i hope the nausea gets better and latuda ends up being a good med for you.

The paranoia i experienced for years has come to a point of manageability.   I have tried many, many anti-psychotics and only latuda has shown such quick and strong results.  On the other hand, I felt more medded up, sluggish, stoned in the first month or so than others.  It hasn't fully subsided, but the benefits FAR outweigh the side effects.

apathy eh... sometimes i care to much maybe this would be good. i hear you though its day 8 and the im starting to feel more tired then nauseous. i have no sexual sides. One of the reasons i agreed to try this med.

I've been on it for 3 years and you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands to take it away from me! Not every drug works for everyone though. I did have some start up side effects like the first month, but they went away after that. Just give it time.

yeah its working for my moods im hoping the minor side effects go away if not so be it.

I am not a doctor, but I would say give it some time.  The stoned feeling did minimize and I can't tell you how much a difference it played in my paranoia.  It's like I am able to subconsciously take a breath when I begin to experience an episode and reason myself through it.  So far, best med my psych ever prescribed (at least the one that has made the most difference).

Started on Latuda right before Thanksgiving. First med that has ever allowed me back to what I remember as "normal." It really is exciting feeling there might be an actual remission of sorts.

Only problem I had was some pretty significant akathisia. I tried splitting my doses, but it was still a problem. I read a suggestion here about adding benedryl when taking the Latuda. I have done that and the agitation has nearly disappeared. I also like that I can manage it with an otc. Sometimes I think those don't count as being real meds.

I hope you find what works for you. I hope you find the level we all seek!

Both of these posts are quite encouraging. Id say so far the benifits have outweighed the negatives by far.

Latuda has given me my life back. I love it. I get pretty sleepy about 2 hours after I take my dose, but by then it's bedtime, so it works out fine for me. I've been on it for almost a year and it has been amazing. I was able to get off SSDI and go back to work. All hail Latuda!
