WinterRosie
Following a famous actor's death, The Guardian asks 300 (former) addicts about their views on heroin addiction. Some of them I am 100% in agreement with. I know that the addictions board gets asked about this a fair bit (and it seems to focus on opiates) so here you go. Something to refer to. MiaB
Excellent, chilling and spot on. For me especially: If you are an addict you are either using, clean or dead. There is nothing in between. and Once addicted, your life then becomes a dedication to your addiction. Edited February 13, 2014 by miab
sonicwhite
Gosh....I mean if i was to search for pictures of shards of ICE (METH) it would trigger some mouth watering.....But, I know that it only takes one time......I was clean from 06 to 08 and relapsed and it was so good but, after I struggle not only with the addiction but also there traumatizing psychological effects it had on me.....In my recovery I have battled pure o OCD and my main focus for the last six years has to try to get my life back.....I don't hang around people that could cause me to stumble and also don't ask, don't tell is my MO. I'm just glad I never banged it.
