Hey Everybody,

I'll try to make this as short as possible but with enough detail to let you know about me.

In the Fall of 2011 I went away from home to a university to start an engineering degree.  Things were tough early on so I went to a health clinic and was diagnosed with ADHD and some OCD (I think I mainly have OCD which seems to also make me an insomniac).  I tried Ritalin, Strattera, and finally settled on Adderall.  I was taking that for awhile and it started out good, but I started taking too much and it wasn't as effective.

Later on I switched psychiatrists because my previous one retired.  The new one starting recommending more OCD meds and I starting taking Luvox. It seems like I've been trying too many meds lately and it has bad results.  I started taking ambien every night and that turned out to be a bad combo.  Because of this and now finding a good med for my other conditions I recently withdrew from school.  I have discontinued ambien for now though.

I've been taking the Luvox the past 3 or so weeks to give it another shot, but it seems I just feel unmotivated on it.  I seem to have periods or feeling very good and other times where I just don;t feel like doing anything.  I did just withdraw from school and I'm waiting on a sublease for my room so maybe that is adding to the unmotivated feeling.  I used to have more intrinsic motivation it seems though.

At this point I'm not really sure what to do.

Anyway, hopefully I can join the community here and things will get better.  In my daily life I'm still pretty upbeat and joke around, so at least still have that going.

Welcome to Crazyboards.  I ask all new members to read the rules, so we're all on the same page.

We have an active forum for students.  Even though you have withdrawn, you might enjoy talking to the members who post on that board, and it might give you some ideas how to cope with university when you go back.

I'm glad you came here and I hope we can offer you some support.
