mommallama
Hi there, Let's see, I'm early 30's, have been dealing with chronic depression for almost 10 years and panic/anxiety since my early teens. I self-medicated for a while, which worked really well (sarcasm lol) and, after the big life-crash i had, in which I lost my job and moved in with my parents a few years ago, have been struggling to rebuild my life. I feel I've been somewhat successful-in that I now have a career as a hairstylist that I love and my kids understand what's going on with me, but ( there's always a but isn't there? ;-) ) I recently changed meds and feel like im slipping again. I've been to this forum several times but never as a member. Finally decided I could always use support/ help support others in this "crazy" journey, too. I'm sure I'll get the hang of this eventually!
shesellsseashells
Welcome to CrazyBoards! I love llamas. I have found support and kinship here, and I hope you do, too. What you've related is a bit familiar to me, as my life crashed a few years ago and I moved back in with my parents, too. Ah, the joys of being an adult living with one's parents! Congratulations on your new career. I hope you get some relief with your new meds soon.
olga
Welcome to Crazyboards. If you've been hanging out here, you know that I ask new members to read the rules. They aren't complicated---the most important one is don't be a bigger asshole than the mods. If the medication(s) you're on isn't doing the job, call your psychiatrist and go in for a tuneup. I know that icky feeling of sliding down into the Black Pit, so take action before it gets any worse. Good for you, finding work that you enjoy and are good at---my hair stylist is one of the most important people in my life! I'm glad you joined up and look forward to seeing you around the boards. olga
