mr quixotic
Hey Y'all Until recently I was what I thought of as 'normal'. Then, I decided to leave my wife and family and head off on a mission from God, to deliver a message of peace and love. The universe was protecting me from harm by providing me with superpowers so I was basically invincible. This was great (it really was) until I had a crazy suicidal psychotic episode, which has not great at all. Then I found out NONE OF IT WAS REAL. Now I find myself awake at 6am with not much else to do but seek solace with other crazies like me, like you. olga
Welcome to Crazyboards. I'm glad you came here. However, I think you will find that your medication does a lot more good for you if you take it. Just sayin' love, auntie olga
MiaB
Welcome! The crazy-psychotic-suicidal-mission-from-God stuff can be held at bay by that quetiapine you're still thinking about there. It's worth considering.
WinterRosie
The thing is that it WAS real. You really did leave your family. You really are capable of psychotic suicidal episodes. Those parts are real and they did happen. You can either encourage them or discourage them from happening again. That part is up to you. Looking forward to seeing your posts around
mr quixotic
Yeah, that old 'to medicate or not' question is getting kinda bigger the closer i get to my next psych appointment... Thanks for the input though, it carries a bit more weight coming from those with experience rather than friends and family who can really only make a judgement call. And Mia, it looks like you've done it al!! How does the Seroquel make you feel? (if that's not a fucked up backwards kinda question considering its purpose! haha). olga
I'm glad you're thinking seriously about taking your meds. I don't know if mia will come back to this intro section, so if you want to ask a question about Seroquel, you might ask it on the Bipolar board or on the anti-psychotic med board. You will find lots of members who have taken it or are taking it. olga
