He has died, but his message lives on through his brainwashed clan.

Yes, I feel similarly, however horrible that makes me as a human being. I can only hope every soldier, abortionist, faggot in this country pickets his and all of their funerals in mass droves. I would certainly be one of them if it were to happen!

I'm glad that his particular brand of crazy and evil has been silenced. Sadly, as you said, it will all live on through his whackjob relatives and followers. All the rest of us can do is keep affirming that what they are and what they do and say is not okay, and will not be tolerated.

chickenshit bastard won't be having a funeral, I imagine because he/they didn't want it picketed. Ironic.

I was trying to decide whether a dose of "own medicine" was what should be delivered at any such,

or whether the temptation could be resisted, on a "we're better than that" principle.

A silent attendance with no derogatory boards might actually say more.

But I'm not sure if that's too big an ask.

I seem to remember reading that he won't be having a funeral.

And the asshat allegedly got excommunicated from the "church" that he founded.  Allegedly there was a power struggle, and he called for the "church" members to be more civil toward each other.  So they excommunicated him.

I'm not glad he's dead, but it doesn't really matter, either; it's done now.

I suppose I should say I'd like to feel sadness, or even pity for him or his family, but I don't feel a thing and don't care to. Likewise, I'd like to consider this a victory, or even a breather, for the people whose harassment he spearheaded, but it doesn't seem too likely. His own church is still out there; it's like cutting heads off the hydra, though I do apologize for the defeatism in that image. I could be wrong. I hope I am.

He was a hateful person, both poisoned and venomous. I do hope that he saw, even briefly or in the abstract, what a putrid waste that kind of hate really is, and how much of his one and only life he squandered, because now that he's dead, all bets are off. If people really believe that life is sacred, and has meaning, doesn't that mean that it's the worst kind of waste to piss it all away like that?

Ain't he going to be surprised.

As far as I'm concerned, it's unnecessary that this be discussed very much on the national news as a topic of relevance. I'll be glad if his funeral isn't held/publicized/whatever, because to me, picketing it would just validate the WBC's bullshit. I guess I think of the news coverage as an offline version of feeding the trolls, in a way. I begrudge the church every influence, color me bitter. Heh.

I know things don't work this way, but I think it would be hilarious to hold a great big coast-to-coast movement of "my goodness, what is that noise?" when the WBC grabs for attention. I would love that.

I haven't heard about him on the news other than the "he died" comment.  Thank goodness.
