Hello! ^_^

Hello!  My name is Susinko!  Well, it isn't really, but it seems safer to use that for now.  I've been diagnosed with PTSD, an as of yet unknow anxiety disorder (yeah another one) and atypical psychosis.  Although some of the symptoms of PTSD have managed to resolve themselves with therapy and medication, it has still left the severe paranoia, anxiety, psychosis, panic attacks and other interesting things that make life more...interesting.

I am currently off my meds because of moving, switching jobs which meant switching insurance carries, THEN insurance issues and the fact that it's really hard to find a new psychiatrist when your having a horrible panic attack over the thought of calling around to find one and working out the details with your insurance company.  Does anyone have advice on that?  While I'm kinda happy being off the anti-psychotic (those side effects suck!  Although they do keep the lights at Best Buy from watching and glaring at me), I do rather miss the anti-anxiety.

One of the things that annoyed me the most though is that my psychologist (I had seen both a psychologist AND a psychiatrist for meds) never really listened to my symptoms.  I think we could have nailed down that "unknow anxiety disorder" if he just listened better. Eh, whatever.

Anyway, I am happy to find this board and look forward to contributing and just hanging out!

Welcome to Crazyboards.  I ask all new members to read the rules, just so we're all on the same page.

It's tough when you have to find a new doctor.  I hope you get one that actually listens to you.
