Hey everyone,

I'm taking  160mg of Latuda with well over 350 calories, and I want to experiment with the types of food to take with it to maximize its benefits.

I HATE being stupid all the time. Lately, I've been irritated and generally in a bad mood. I've read on a few posts that protein and carbs work for certain people, which agrees with my line of thinking. Maybe you need slow-digesting foods, like pasta and rice, or some kind of protein combination. It's absorbed, I read, irrespective of fat content. The FDA website only mentioned the calorie count (350), and my doctor said likewise, but I suspect that the type of food is more important than they say.

What have your experiences been with the type of food you've taken with it? Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks, everybody! :)

I want to get this crap figured out as soon as possible, because I just got a job and soon I'm going to take summer courses on top of that, plus my book club I'm managing and  my volunteer work and learning French and Spanish and the local mental health awareness club and..... ugh. Thanks again!!!! :)

i've always gone with protein and carbs, like a peanut butter sandwich.  but i've never experimented with different foods so i don't know if there could be something better.  i also read that fat content doesn't matter.

I've never paid attention to the fact of if it works better with certain foods over others. I do know I can tell a difference if I don't eat with it. I have just taken it with no food before. I just take mine with dinner. It doesn't make me drowsy right off the bat, it takes a few hours. I used to have to take it right before bed because it made me immediately drowsy and I would just take it with a protein shake (I was just worried about proper amount of calories). It was easy to drink and had the right calories. But I've not noticed if specific food makes it work better or not.
