anon34
Just starting on Latuda, any advice? How do you like it? How long did it take for it to kick in?
dancingteapot
I'm new to it too. I'm currently taking 120mgs but I'm not totally sure what it's function is. No serious side effects thus far. From what I've heard, it's a decent med.
mjs190
I've heard incredible things about Latuda, so I truly hope it works well for you, as its a well-rounded medication. I noticed that there were no immediate effects like there were when I took Seroquel or Risperdal, with which I could tell they were doing something the next day or so. Latuda increased my anxiety at first, try to brave that storm if it comes, as in my experience it will dissipate. Eventually I came off it because it didn't help my moods. I was heart set on it working, too. I even tried it again two more times! But it just flat out wasn't for me. Butterflykisses
I just started Latuda (40 mg) on Monday. It is activating to me. Like if I drank a cup of coffee. I like it. It's nice to not be on a med in the morning that makes me sedated. When I take Latuda I am ready to go! Then in the evening when I take my 160 mg of Geodon I become rested and can end my night relaxing and then sleep. So overall I like it.
lysergia
that's interesting that it's activating for you. i had to cut down to 20mg because i was so sedated. for some reason i am really sensitive to this drug. i'd like to report that latuda is either working or not, but truthfully i don't know. i've been on it five months and i'm still not stable, but i'm not in the hospital either. Equivilency
I been on it almost 6 months. It makes me tired during the day, but I've been reluctant to switch it because of virtually no other side effects. From what I've read Latuda starts working right away. I don't have any positive symptoms and I havn't relapsed so I guess its working! Edited April 4, 2014 by dnautics
AnnaBanana
I take 60mgs and I've taken it for 3 years. I love it. It made me "me" again. I can't remember if I could tell it was working right away or if it took a while. It can cause gastrointestinal issues, which in me, is severe heartburn. I just take prilosec and it's no issue.
