What are you doing while you're trying to fall asleep?

Are you in bed with the lights off? Or are you up and doing things? Or texting/playing on the internet/videogames etc?

Just curious.

Have you looked into sleep hygiene type solutions?  It might not do the whole job, but it will help.  It has helped me significantly, thouh I also needed to use medication.

 

As to Seroquel, when my insomnia was bad, my doctor told me to keep upping the dose until I slept and it took 150 mg.  Because things were so bad and I felt so terrible.  25 would probably put me out now that I'm more stable.

Yeah. I take 800 mg and it no longer makes me sleepy. But I take it throughout the day and at night. I don't get it. I know someone who takes 500 mg and is sleepy all damn day. But I know another who takes what I take and is not too tired. It slows me down, that I can feel. But to induce sleep I need lunesta and klonopin with it these days.

Shoot. I was really hoping this would be the answer to your problems with sleep. It does work for a lot of people for sleeping. I know lower doses are supposed to be more sedating. But maybe you need a higher dose of it? We are all different. Or maybe the XR? I would call your pdoc as soon as you can. Maybe you can try something else or a higher dose?
