I had luck with this medication initially and I was up to 4,000 mg.  It helped my mood from what I remember, but at that time I was also on other meds that could have worked with it.  After awhile though it wasn't doing anything.

For me it was a very hard medication to wean off of.  It took a very long time, and all I remember is being agitated, irritable, etc until I was off it, plus another week not on it.  But for many people I'm sure they didn't have as hard a time.

I take 2000mg. I get night sweats and insomnia if I forget to take it. Did it help? I don't know. If it did it took a long time to gradually work. I tend to think that time really healed my GAD. I was prescribed neurotin to combat anxiety as well as as a mood stabilizer. Hope it works for you.

I am thinking of going on Lyrica as my Paxil (30mg) and Remeron (15mg) combo isn't doing much to help.

Does anyone here take Lyrica and it helps them overcome anticipatory anxiety ?

Also, I read the major side effect is dizziness ....have any of you experienced this ?  Once of my main anxiety symptoms is nausea so I am worried the dizziness would make it worse ?

I find it helpful. It's just subtle. I don't notice it as much as, say, a benzo because it doesn't make you euphoric or sleepy. It just tended to help me to think less about things and was able to get more things done. The dosage is tricky though because everyone is different and it's hard to find the right amount. I didn't start feeling anything until 900mg or 300mg TID.
