Pearly
I've been on that dose more than 2 1/2 years for schizophrenia. A pdoc I recently went to see said it was not affective at that dose for schizophrenia but somehow I've managed a four year remission since my first break. melissaw72
My pdoc told me that I couldn't go under 30 mg unless absolutely necessary because there was a greater potential of me becoming psychotic again if I did.
confused
My pdoc reduced my dosage to 7.5 mg but he says now it works more as an adjunct to my antidepressant. I have a different dx, schizoaffective, but i have also been in remission for psychotic symptoms for years (I do have anxiety and depression still). I'm not sure how I feel about my current regimen. It helps with depression but I worry it won't hold back a manic or psychotic episode. Does the pdoc want to change it? I am seeing a new pdoc on Wednesday. I don't know what he will say about my meds.
Pearly
No, doesn't intend to change it since i'm in remission. I've been doing very well on it. I was on 10mg before that but not for very long. Good luck with your appointment confused. Edited April 15, 2014 by Pearly
