koali777
I started out at 40 mg of Latuda, then 80 mg, and now 120 mg. I'm not sure if that's the max dose. It's my fault...I was told I could increase that, or try a new one. I'm terrified of new meds, especially new antipsychotics. Do you think it'll be effective at this high a dose when it hasn't gotten rid of voices yet? And yes I know you guys aren't professionals.
mcjimjam
No one can say for sure whether the dose increase will be helpful. Your doctor must think that it could be. According to the Latuda website, the recommended max dose is 160mg, so you're not maxed out yet. Good luck, Kaoli. I really hope it helps you. koali777
Thank you. I do too. And without making me a zombie. I don't know what's worse, honestly...having emotions even if they're wild, and having voices...or not being crazy but being dead inside? Hopefully none of that will be a problem. mjs190
The max dose for Latuda is 160 mg. With that being said, if at 120 mg you're still experiencing vices without any less intensity than you were without Latuda, I'd say its a safe bet that 160 isn't going to make a HUGE difference, but like you said, I'm not a professional.
