Hi! I am new to this site but not new to depression and anxiety. Been living with this for 20 years and am now 43. Was on Prozac for a very long time. Did great for 10 years then it quit. Tried Lexapro, made me crazi(er), went back to Prozac out of fear of trying another drug. Xanax throughout. After a bad couple of years I ended up in the hospital and am now on Viibryd. Never heard of it til then. Six months later and strange side effects I think I am doing better. Searching the internet for other Viibrd users. There's a lot of scary stuff out there on it. Hoping to find some possitives. My experiences on it are nothing short of bizarre but after learning to take it correctly I have high hopes!

Hi and welcome to CB! Glad you found us. I don't know anything about Viibryd, but someone might come along who has experience with it. Meanwhile, take off your coat and stay awhile. I look forward to your posting.

Hello, and welcome to CrazyBoards!

 

I am on Viibryd as well. It's working really well for me at treating my depression, especially after trying a few different things that took the edge off my depression but still left me feeling moderately depressed and rather numb. The only downside is that the days when I forget to take my Viibryd, I feel really awful and can't function by around 4 or 5pm -- I get really depressed, and all I can do is lay on the sofa, watch Netflix, and cry. It's terrible. But I've gotten in the habit of taking it every morning now, so thankfully, this hasn't happened to me in months. You might have more luck getting input from other Viibryd users if you start a thread on it on the antidepressants forum.

Welcome to Crazyboards.  I hope other people who are taking Vibryd check in with you.  If it doesn't happen here in the Introduction section, you can start a topic in the forum where we talk about antidepressants, and put the name of the drug in the subject line.  You may find more people that way.

I really like Viibryd.  I've been on it for well over a year, and I don't have any noticeable side effects.  The only hassle is being diligent about remembering taking it with food.

I really want to meet other Viibryd users.The first 4 months were crazy cuz I didnt take the hospital doc seriously when he said take with food. I thought it was just for stomach ache not metabolism. Not to mention morning taking. Sleep apnea, sleep paralysis, crazy dreams.  Now take it in the morning with a real meal. Feel so much better but I have to take xanax to sleep. Feel great but unable to sleep without drugs so worries me. Anybody else?
